Benson Bubblers are an icon in downtown Portland. Funded by logging tycoon Simon Benson in 1912 and designed by architect A.E. Doyle the bubblers were meant to give loggers something to drink other than alcohol. Cast from bronze, the fountains were refurbished in 1958, and in 1965, Portland sent a bubbler to our sister city, Sapporo, Japan. Awwww, sisters!

This series was inspired some of the places and things I love most about my hometown (and where I still live!) of Portland, Oregon.
