“Portrait of Russi” by Franz Marc - Poster
“Portrait of Russi” by Franz Marc - Poster
Franz Marc had a deeply spiritual relationship with animals that he explored in his work. In this painting, Marc used his gorgeous Siberian sheepdog mix, Russi, as his model. (Gratuitous additional note: Marc also kept two deer as pets, and their names were Schlick and Hanni!)
About the Poster Design
After researching and writing the book "Museum of Dogs," I realized there are so many gorgeous pups that deserve a place in our hearts and on our walls! I've created these posters to give each piece of dog art a fresh, modern vibe.
